A movie of epic proportions will be coming out in late March 2021. This movie will feature two titans of the monster movie genre, King Kong and Godzilla. These enormous names in the movie business will be duking it out in this battle, hence the name of the movie Godzilla vs. Kong. Look for tickets now, as on March 25, you can view this battle near you.

A recent Instagram poll from RamsMedia showed that 59% of Central students think that Kong will win in this fight, while a 41% think Godzilla will trounce Kong in this clash of kings.

With all things considered and a robust knowledge of films, Kong will win the fight, the sheer strength and potential speed he has over Godzilla will completely nullify the advantages that Godzilla might have. Sure, he may have plasma breath and potential lightning powers, but the sheer punching and throwing power of King Kong will completely outclass Godzilla. Not only with Kong having an unusual amount of endurance as he’s shown in his previous iterations, not only should be smarter because of his ape-like nature he should be much stronger as well. Kong has also shown that he’s capable of forging weapons and using those weapons correctly.

In a conversation with assistant boys bowling coach Jon Gurchack it was discussed that he battle will be incredibly terrain-dependent, if we are in just normal Tokyo like the rest of the Godzilla movies, Godzilla will win due to it being by the water and also being Godzilla’s native ground, but he’s simply outmatched in hand to hand combat and with the addition of Kong’s weapon creation, the terrain will definitely factor.

However, many think the movie will turn out with Godzilla and Kong teaming up to fight Mechagodzilla because what better time to kill Godzilla than when he’s wounded from a clash with Kong?

Additionally senior Leandro Lambert has a unique take on the subject. He thinks that Kong has a lot more time to prepare for the fight in addition to having strength and agility, Godzilla may have supernatural powers, but they might be his downfall. Those powers cost energy, which Godzilla will have a limited amount of.

With a quite the divided debate, the brawl of brawn that these titans of the box office will show up to deliver will surely not be one to miss.
