About Us
Hi! We’re Rampage.

Founded in 1946, the Rampage magazine and RamsTV broadcast serve as the official student-run news organization for Grayslake Central High School and the surrounding communities. Collectively known as RamsMedia, our basic function is to serve the Grayslake Central High School student body and the greater Grayslake community by informing, educating, and stimulating the exchange of diverse opinions. Students are responsible for the design, photos, and editorial content of both award-winning publications. The magazine and broadcast will maintain a policy that is fair, accurate, and impartial. The magazine is both printed and online; broadcasts, podcasts, and more are published online. \

Members of RamsMedia have opportunities for field trips, competitions, and awards through organizations like KEMPA (Kettle Moraine Press Association) and JEA (Journalism Education Association).
If you have any questions or would like to join RamsMedia, please contact staff adviser Nina Cavender at ncavender@d127.org.

Online Comments
As an open public forum, Rampage welcomes reader comments and debate. Rampage encourages community members to take ownership of their opinions by using their names when commenting. However, in order to ensure a diverse range of opinions, Rampage may allow anonymous comments as long as they are respectful and relevant, as determined by the editorial board. Comments are moderated, but not edited, and will appear only after being approved.
Advertising
The Rampage editorial board solicits and accepts advertisements of varying sizes for its print issues. Ads are accepted in a variety of electronic formats and as attachments in email in most cases. The editorial board reserves the rights to reject any proposed advertisement for any reason. Advertisements that will not be accepted include, but are not limited to: advertisements for any products or services that would be illegal for minors to possess or use; partisan political advertisements; advertisements referencing, promoting, or disparaging religion; advertisements that are racist, sexist, homophobic or derogatory in nature; advertisements containing copyright violations; and advertisements referencing a particular person (including personal ads). The remedy for any cancelled advertisement shall be limited to a refund of any prepaid fees.
All ads must be accompanied by a signed contract. Advertisement rates and payment dates are established within the terms of the contract.
Please email ncavender@d127.org if you would like the Rampage advertising team to send you an advertising contract and form.
