According to a communication sent by District 127 personnel, due to the extreme cold “Friday, January 23rd, 2026, will be an eLearning day for District 127. Our priority is the safety of our students and staff.”
In an email sent to district students, staff, and families, key information for e-learning was included. See below.
Key Information for the eLearning Day:
- Instruction: Students and teachers will attend classes remotely via Zoom and Schoology.
- Preparation: All students should bring their Chromebooks and chargers home on Thursday, January 22.
- Building Closure: School buildings are closed during regular school hours. Please do not travel to either campus during the school day.
- Schedule: We will follow the Block Schedule (Late Start Schedule), with classes starting at 9:15 AM and ending at 3:25 PM. Friday is an “A” day.
- Attendance: Yes, attendance is mandatory. Students must report to their Zoom classes on time for the teacher to take attendance.
- Accessing Assignments & Support:
- Teachers will post all assignments, including Zoom links, in Schoology.
- Teachers may also use school email or Remind to communicate with students.
- Teachers will be available via email during their regular workday hours for student or parent questions. Teachers will post any other availability methods (e.g., discussion board) in their e–learning folder on Schoology.
- After-School Activities: All athletics and activities are still scheduled for after school on Friday, January 23, 2026. Check with your coaches and activity sponsors for specific information.
