The 2019 cross country teams prepare for their state qualifying sectional meet on Saturday, Nov. 2 in Belvidere, Illinois.  As the team gears up for the sectional meet, coaches and athletes reflect on the season.

Christopher Palmer Cross Country Assistant Coach said, “Everybody really kept this positivity going throughout the team…That’s the most important thing when you’re trying to accomplish that end goal, to have that sound, quality, mental attitude.”
Molly Delaney Cross Country Manager said, “The team is… working together. A lot of the upperclassmen have… stepped up into leadership roles and the freshmen and sophomores… are just upping their game. Everyone’s working all together like a very nice family.”

Kier Luczak Cross Country JV athlete said, “The team this year is probably the best we’ve had in a while. When I was a freshman, we got second [in] state. But even then this year, it feels more like a community, the family, the leadership, everything about the team feels a lot more comfortable.”
