What is the process of transitioning from sideline season to competition season?

“After the end of the sideline season, we have a tryout for the competition team. Once our competition team is finalized, we get right to work on our competition routine…we now focus solely on our competition routine. We only have about a month and a half to prepare before our first competition,” said coach Stacy Custodio.

What is the competition looking like?

“We try not to pay too much attention to other teams. However, we know that if we are working hard, the other teams are too! We are lucky to compete in the state of Illinois, home to some of the most talented cheerleaders in the country, which is why the Chicagoland area was chosen to represent Junior Team USA at Worlds last year!” said Custodio.

Is there anything in particular that stands out for this year’s season?

“We have six seniors on the team that have given four years of hard work and dedication to this program. We hope to make them proud,” said Custodio.
