Girls Soccer:
The girls soccer team is planning on making it to the sectional finals this year! The team won their match against Carmel on March 18, 2025, starting off the season strong. Coach Keith Andersson has said that “it is always great to start the season with a win.”. The team has been preparing for their games against top players from Libertyville on April 8, 2025 and their cross-town rival Grayslake North later in the year. Good luck to the girls soccer team!
Lacrosse:
The lacrosse team got their first win against Cary Grove as their home opener, and is looking forward to this year’s conferences. Coach Nate Langille has stated that “The team looks great, we have a mature group who understands it takes grit and commitment to be successful in all aspects of the game. Can’t ask for more than that.”
Softball
This year’s softball team is looking forward to this season. They aspire to be successful in the postseason and hope to repeat their regional championship, and according to Coach James Plaza, “The team has set goals to win our conference, a regional, and a sectional and to have a chance to compete to go downstate in June.”. They started off their season with a match against Lake Forest on March 17, 2025, winning 22-5, and they are currently preparing to go against teams such as Antioch, Wauconda, Lakes and Grayslake North after spring break! Plaza has said about the team that “There is talent at every position across the board. We have a good mix of newcomers and returners, and there has been a positive energy throughout the program in the first few weeks of the season.”
Tennis
The Tennis team has set their sights on winning the NLCC championship and to have several state qualifiers, and according to Coach Lawson, “we have strong team this year and should achieve our goals.” Some of their notable upcoming games are against Grayslake North and Wauconda. The boys volleyball team is aiming for victory in their conference games and to go deep into the IHSA playoffs! Their first big challenge is upcoming in early April when they play against the 24-team Warren invitational!
